"I'm going to take a walk with a monkey-man." Quickly think about that sentence. If you think it is deep, poetic, or lyrically obtuse go ahead and raise your hand. Now for those with their hands raised, guess what. OASIS HAS A NEW ALBUM COMING OUT! Also, one of the following is true: you are currently wearing, or are in possession of, a white baseball cap emblazoned with a humorous and vaguely sexual university name, you exist only in the mid to late 1990s, you have horrible taste in music.Dig Out Your Soul is Oasis' 7th studio LP. The UK press is raving that it is the band's best work in 10 years. This of course is unimpressive considering Oasis has sucked for at least the past 11. Dig Out Your Soul is supposed to represent a return to form for Oasis something akin to a belated follow-up to (What's the Story) Morning Glory. Instead of seeming like a logical step or an outgrowth of their breakthrough record, Dig Out Your Soul presents us with a band overstaying their welcome and overcooking their ideas.
Flat, dated, and worn. Buy this album if you will, but I defy you to enjoy it.

Do you have an MP3 of "To Be Where There's Life"? The filename is an MP3, but it saves as a .mov. I would appreciate it.
It's okay if you are no longer a fan of Oasis, alot of people having gotten off the bandwagon, but why write a page badmouthing them and include two of their songs? If you don't like them that much, why not ignore them. I think they are a great band and magically, I don't own a white cap with a veiled sexual innuendo. Some people just like guitar-based rock 'n' roll; it doesn't seem like many people anymore with the state of popular music, but it does still happen. If liking Oasis music means I "have horrible taste in music" I'm okay with that, too.
Nice post. I lold.
I disagree. I'm not an Oasis fan at all, and haven't been able to get two songs into any of their albums post-Morning Glory. I checked this one out after all the stellar reviews, and I really think they finally hit it on the mark. The first five tracks sound like they cold have fit onto "Definitely Maybe" (their first, and most heralded effort). "The Turning," "Waiting For The Rapture," and "Out of Time" are up there with some of their best. Sure, there's nothing as Brit-Pop as "Wonderwall" or "Champagne Supernova," but the aforementioned songs could easily be future classics.
