Laura Marling

I've been digging on Laura Marling for a few months, but somehow she's evaded a post until now. Alas, I Cannot Swim, her debut album, was released this past February via Virgin, and it's an impressive start for an eighteen year-old. I mean, I hate to focus on her age like so many other reviewers -- but really, what had you accomplished by that age? I always love to see artists that discover their passion so early. Miss Marling writes earnest folk music, and with some production help from Charlie Fink (of Noah And The Whale), she's made a truly great album. Fans of singer-songwriters and pop alike, take note.

I have heard a song that Laura contributed to with another band recently, it doesn't seem to feature on her recent albulm, does anyone know who else she has sung with?
