The Great Burrito Debate: Taco Bell

[Disclaimer: Yup, this is a music blog. But, as some of you know, burritos are a passion of mine (second to music, of course). So please excuse the brief lapse from music coverage as I discuss a burrito joint in my search for the best burritos in the land. I know, I'm silly.]
As I walked in, I asked myself, should I even be reviewing Taco Bell? Should they even be considered in the search for the perfect burrito? The answer, evidently, is yes. Because this was not the worst burrito I’ve had yet. While Taco Bell was everything I expected it to be – poor ingredients, no real spice, awful guac, so on and so forth – it was still okay. This was a bad burrito that neither offended nor impressed, as opposed to some of the bad burritos I’ve had that have tasted awful. I mean, you get what you pay for. The burritos are all less than $3, and they’re all appropriately sized. As you would expect, the ingredients are incredibly bland, with the guacamole being especially egregious. For hot sauce, you’re stuck with their lame little packets, featuring neither taste nor absolute spice. The wrapping job was abysmal, with everything falling apart from the get-go. And do I really need to say anything about the atmosphere? Despite all this, Taco Bell does not come in last place. It’s a shabby burrito, and you should already know that when you walk in the door. But even though it was a fake burrito, I can’t say it tasted completely bad.

I was at Taco Bell yesterday and thought, "Hey, I wonder if Keith reviewed these guys yet." Evidently I should've read your blog before I ventured forth! I didn't get a burrito -- as they are what you and I expected them to be -- but it's interesting to see how they placed above TBK and such. :)
