The other week, I was driving through New Hampshire, on my way to play a show with my band. As we neared our destination, my friend put on the radio. "Come on, let's get pumped up with some mainstream hits!" After jamming out to Sara Bareilles' "Love Song," something else caught our attention. It sounded like Britney Spears, but damn if it wasn't awesome. Sure enough, it was indeed Ms. "I have a bald head and a pregnant sister" Spears. And despite my indie pretentiousness, I think this song is awesome. It's mostly due to the production, which is really creative and innovative. The synth lines that run throughout the song are pretty fly, and I love the vocoded vocals throughout the song. Because I'm sure she couldn't sing the lines of the wonderfully computerized vocal lines. Such as the jump around 2:15 or the end of the chorus -- I doubt she sang those awkward vocal lines. But it sounds great. Kudos to the production team for some stellar work keeping a pop star fresh. "Piece Of Me" was produced by the same folks who did "Toxic," which I should mention has pretty dope production as well. They [evidently] do good work.Britney Spears - Piece Of Me (from Blackout)

I'm jamming to this song! I still love it...
I'm totally with you, even if it means sacrificing some indie cred :) - it's a brilliant song, and I love the defiant, in-your-face lyrics.
I haven't heard this tune, but "Toxic" is my jam.
