Yesterday's Super Bowl was a fairly traumatic event for those of us rooting for the then-undefeated Patriots. First came denial. "This isn't happening! No!" Then, anger. "AH! What the hell, you played a horrible game! OBSCENITIES!" Finally, acceptance. "I guess there's nothing that can be done, we'll just have to move on." It was during the anger phase that I turned to Fugazi. It's not that the music is that heavy, and the music is certainly not as angry as other, more popular bands (such as Rage Against The Machine). But there is an intense way about their sound. It manages to slap you in the face without ever getting out of its easy chair. Perhaps it's Fugazi's punk roots. Whatever the reason, it's an energetic, engaging sound. Perhaps it can help someone else through the grief.Fugazi - Break (from End Hits)
