Live: Elizabeth & The Catapult

The Paradise Lounge was sold out last Thursday night, one of many signs that it's time for Elizabeth & The Catapult to move on to bigger and better things. I have nothing but the utmost of confidence that they will blow up just as soon as their debut album comes out. But for now, we just have an excellent EP to go on, not to mention rousing live performances. The band is an exquisite ensemble, with each member holding his or her own musically. Baroque piano pop? Check. Jazzy upright bass lines? Check. Ripping guitar solos? Check. Tight drum grooves? Check. Powerful vocals? Check. Interesting songwriting? Check. Innovative music on the whole? Check. The show was very entertaining, as Elizabeth & The Catapult delivered a set full of infectious energy and enthusiasm. You couldn't help but happily bob your head and enjoy the music.Photos below.
